We are growing to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding business and have a terrific opportunity for a Director of Business Development with excellent communication and organizational skills and significant experience identifying, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships. This position is for an experienced professional in our Oakland, CA office with occasional travel to meet with partners and to other Pandora locations.Â
Working closely with the VP of Business Development you will identify, initiate and nurture strategic partnerships for Pandora. These partnerships might be with other world-class web/mobile properties, interesting startup/early stage companies, adjacent/related content services, etc.
Responsibilities:
Work with product, design and engineering teams to evaluate and explore strategic partnership opportunities.
Maintain active relationships with Pandora’s key partners, including proactively resolving business issues and serving as an internal advocate.
Analyze performance of Strategic partnerships and communicate results
Drive relationship building process at multiple levels between partners and Pandora
Requirements:
Proven ability to identify and develop strategic partnerships Â
Strong technical competence and experience in product development
Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision.
Capable of driving internal stakeholders to a consensus on important issues
Extensive business negotiation skills.
Extensive industry contacts and ability to navigate Silicon Valley startup and tech scenes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong product development skills.
5+ year relevant business experience.
