About the Job

The Yahoo Homepage and Verticals team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced business lead to define and manage its content partners. ‘Partners’ in this sense means any entity providing content to the H&V properties – including both traditional publishers as well as advertisers looking to distribute their content marketing offerings. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion and helping organizations build and scale efficiently. This position requires a senior product and business leader to work with many parts of the Yahoo organization, and this candidate should be able to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

* Overall product management responsibilities related to how our group does business with publishing and advertising partners. This includes developing requirements, building intimate knowledge of product technology, and working across various product groups to coordinate roadmaps.

* Define partnership tiering and structures for our key publishing and advertising stakeholders, and drive all product management work implied by those definitions.

* Work with our Ad and platform teams to align efforts on the key business model pieces. Manage dependencies across a wide range of org groups within the company.

*Work with our publishing content systems to determine how organic and advertising content will be ingested and with user experience product managers on how it will be displayed on our properties.

*Define the set of business models associated with publishers licensing their content in a self-serve way (rev shares, distribution, etc…)

*Define and drive how publishers and advertisers will receive both “earned” and “paid” distribution, both on Yahoo.com and off-network

*Work with Business Development partners for setting the partnership funnel and strategy

* Define how we will measure the various publishing initiatives, and work with the relevant data teams to make sure the needed instrumentation is in place.

*Work with our Operation Finance partners to model impacts of these initiatives for planning and forecasting purposes

* Interface with Homepage & Verticals SVP and CEO e-Staff team on critical initiatives and priorities, and represent ur organization in senior stakeholder forums

Minimum Job Qualifications:

* 8-10 years of experience in the consumer internet space. Product experience related to media ontent and partner management, as well as working with brand advertisers. The ideal candidate has experience in both product management, definition, and ownership mixed with business acumen and strategy understanding.

* Ability to work with teams across multiple time zones and geographic locations

* Expertise in developing detailed plans for complex projects, with changing requirements, limited resources, and fixed deadlines

* Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration

* Problem and conflict solving abilities, influencing people across organization and levels

* Solid communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively across senior stakeholders

* BS/MS degree is a must

* Ability to handle a number of simultaneous projects and tasks and must demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive issues to completion

* Ability to bring people together from different backgrounds, skills and reporting structures to create a cohesive, cross-functional team

* Strategic thinker who has an eye for detail, is organized, and can manage multiple programs simultaneously

* Ability to prioritize and manage work against critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

* MBA a plus
