Regional Director - Account Management - Centro - New York
Job description
This position is an integral part of the media operations group, responsible for leading the regional account management team for the region. The person in this position will work alongside the account management team to deliver innovative and strategic media solutions worthy of Raving Fan service. Additionally, this person will manage the professional and personal development of the team, providing hands-on mentoring and training support, as needed.
As a senior member of the team, this individual will be required to actively participate in both client meetings and internal regional leadership meetings. The person in this position needs to have a strong point-of-view and be comfortable providing input for decisions that impact the account management team. This position will also require a close partnership with the region’s VP and directors to ensure the most efficient processes and systems are implemented, monitored and refined as needed to provide flawless execution and quality control among the team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject Matter Expertise/Media Acumen
Actively participates in and contributes to the growth of Centro’s business within the region
Regularly attends and contributes to client meetings (Lead discussions, offer points-of-view and present recommendations, as necessary)
Participates in client strategy development by identifying, evaluating and recommending new opportunities alongside the team
Actively reads industry trade news, attends conferences and meets with publishers to maintain a strong understanding of the digital media industry, remaining well-versed in the macro-trends shaping digital media and the potential impact to client business
Disseminates media knowledge to the team and among the regions through hands-on mentoring, training and participation in regional calls/meetings
Provides ongoing media thought-leadership to both agency and in-house clients
Maintains a good understanding of various syndicated research resources and their application and benefit to the planning process
Serve as a regional expert relating to Centro account management responsibilities supporting all internal processes and policies
Ensure clients receive Raving Fan service while capitalizing on the best possible margin
Account Team Management
Actively leads the team helping to identify career development opportunities, potential obstacles and the areas of need for continued education and training
Address personnel conflicts and performance issues confidently, and in a timely manner
Effectively delegate responsibilities, monitor workloads and individual performance of the team
Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with assigned team, providing actionable feedback that fosters career growth & motivation
Monitor campaign and regional productivity and apply learning to maximize efficiencies while balancing workloads
Assist with on-boarding new hires, ensuring they are well-trained and understand Centro’s expectations
Offer strategic input into the regional account management organizational structure
OVERALL LEADERSHIP
Serves as a leader within the region offering points-of-view to drive continued success
Identifies opportunities to enhance current processes to deliver efficiency and improve margin
Viewed by others within the region as a partner and valued resource to help grow the business
