Head - Sales - Americas Power Projects - North - Aggreko - Houston
Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be our Head of Sales (APP North). The North Americas Power Projects area consists of Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Central America, Caribbean, USA and Canada. Our business is interim power plants that help to stabilize the local utilities power grid and provide additional energy to support local industry and communities which may be suffering from insufficient power supplies.
The ideal candidate will have experience directing sales in this region and strong knowledge of power generation operations. This person will interface regularly with Regional BDMs and local country management to ensure clear communication and coordination of activity. This role is responsible for establishing and directing sales goals, tackling must win battles, and managing individual territory plans for each sales professional in the business unit. This person will assure performance of the sales team and ensure territory results are achieved and managed by providing leadership, support and feedback on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead sales for North APP.
Achieve business unit revenues, profit/loss ratio and market share goals in relation to plans and forecasts.
Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives for Products and Services. Coordinate the plans with other business units and America’s marketing efforts.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans, programs and sales campaigns, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization, in conjunction with the APP Marketing team.
Develop and coordinate marketing operational budget needs with APP Marketing team for the business unit as it relates to events, conferences and approved client activities.
Develop and recommend products’ positioning, packaging and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Estimate market values and conditions using historical data and trends as well as an analytical approach to market data.
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity. Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
Plan and lead regular sales meetings and conferences. Develop and deliver content for weekly regional sales meetings designed to improve individual selling efforts and skills. Coordinate with the larger organization on sales and leadership training activities.
Facilitate information and exchange of information across the company.
Establish involvement and leverage technical sales/applications development specialists into sales campaigns and customer contact. Coordinate the development of technical, engineering or applications opportunities to execution with local and project team teams.
Track and monitor key performance indicators, including rates, utilization, individual sales results, revenue by application and product line, revenue by customer, campaign results, competition, and industry trends.
Publish sales rankings and assist in the development of incentives for campaigns.

10+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent
Strong business acumen
Excellent team builder and team player
Operations knowledge preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
Ability to travel extensively
