GM - Luminate - Blackbaud - Austin
Job description
Blackbaud was founded on the idea that technology can be a medium for social change. Over the last thirty years, we’ve delivered software solutions to the non-profit sector, helping mission-driven organizations manage operations and engage supporters. We are looking to hire a General Manager (GM) of our Luminate product line to help us continue to innovate and drive change through the products we deliver.
The GM of Luminate will drive the success of the Luminate business within the General Markets Business Unit (GMBU). This person will be responsible for the financial livelihood of the business through full ownership of the profit and loss statement. It is essential that the GM understands the market opportunity for all of the Luminate products, can develop a go-to-market strategy, articulate the product vision and drive the customer experience, all to dramatically grow this business. The GM will work to correctly position Luminate in the GMBU product continuum, develop new offerings / programs, drive sales through direct (and partnership channels) and own customer retention.
Responsibilities:
Manage a growing team of that includes Sales Specialists, Internet-overlay sales team, Account Management, Customer Success, and the Luminate Go! Program. Coordinate activities of matrixed staff in Sales, Marketing / Lead Generation, Customer Support, Professional Services, Partnership channels, Internal deployment and manage the relationship with key deployment partners.
Overall ownership of the Luminate business and its Key Performance Indicators: P&L, bookings, units, customer satisfaction, net promoter score and budget planning
Develop go-to-market strategies while partnering with GMBU Marketing to correctly position Luminate in the GMBU product continuum, to drive demand generation programs and the development of sales and marketing tools, process, and infrastructure necessary to successfully roll out Luminate offerings to the GM customers and market.
Develop product deployment strategies and offerings while partnering with Professional Services, the Partner Team and Marketing to assure a cost-effective, high quality deployment and on-boarding experience.
Operational responsibility of the business including the (coordination with Marketing) packaging, pricing and bundling models that maximize the volume and value of the product line, the customer experience including on-boarding, account management client success to drive customer satisfaction, retention and references
Serve as the GMBU ambassador in our Austin, TX office, gaining support and collaboration within a matrixed environment
Drive innovation. Serve as a test-bed for strategies and models that could later be consumed across GMBU
Balance competing priorities across functions to meet business objectives.
Pursue operational excellence including working with managers to streamline systems and processes
Develop strong relationships with implementation-partners, product -partners, etc.
Provide visionary leadership to the Luminate team that motivates and empowers them to produce the best outcomes for our customers
Assess the market opportunity, developing a deep expertise in customer requirements and future customer needs
Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts, proposals, and other sales related documents.
Possess the intellect and the executive presence to become a true business partner across functions.
Solid track record in building, developing and recruiting high- performance teams based on a large network of talent in the software industry.
An executive with vision who can develop the right strategy and execute to drive rapid growth.
Big thinker striving to make a big impact and unwilling to accept mediocrity..
Experience managing in a complex, high-growth, matrixed environment.
Strong client relationship skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of software direct and re-seller sales channels
