Summary
The Director of Training and Development will report directly to the HR Vice President and will direct, manage and create existing training programs along with developing new frontline and management training programs for Main Event Entertainment.
Responsibilities
Identify Core Competencies Needed by the workforce.
Deploy competency mapping in the company as a basis for training plan
Design and Implement Training Programs within the organization
Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met
Design training according to instructional design standards
Make training plan monthly, quarterly.
Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.
Organize approved training plan
Help line managers and trainers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
Coach and oversee the work of field trainers.
Oversee the training of all NCOs.
Conduct training for supervisors and managers on specific leadership development topics.
Ensure Career Development Plans are in place for High Potential leaders/supervisors.
Evaluate training and development programs for continuous improvement. Keeping training materials up to date.
Manage the Company’s LMS.
Organize training materials in appropriate categories (also include e-learning).
Consider the costs of planned programs and keeping within budgets.
Assess the return on investment (ROI) of any training or development
Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of Training/Org Development experience
Minimum of 2 years Training Experience within the Restaurant or FEC industry
Minimum of 2 years experience in curriculum development/instructional design
Strong Presentation/Facilitation Skills
Preferred Requirements
MS Degree in Industrial Org, HR- related field, preferred
Operations experience within the Restaurant industry is preferred
