Your Opportunity
You will own, lead, and drive our go-to-market (GTM) strategy, messaging, planning and execution to further increase awareness and adoption of Informatica’s solutions in the U.S. Federal, State, and Local government sectors with a strong focus on Federal Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence sectors. You will be responsible for extending Informatica’s market presence in the U.S. public sectors by helping the extended teams understand key trends and requirements across these sectors; defining marketing strategies and plans for field marketing to execute; crafting compelling messaging and value propositions; delivering high value and impactful content for go-to-market campaigns, enabling sales teams on how to position Informatica; and evangelizing Informatica’s vision to the market.

Our Ideal Candidate
You are a skilled technology solutions marketer, strategist and thought leader who will work closely with internal stakeholders in product marketing, product management, content and customer marketing, corporate demand generation and campaigns to create and build the most compelling content, positioning and strategic frameworks for the solution. You understand U.S. government sectors and have a strong background in Federal Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence sectors. You are an extremely motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision who can take charge and own public sector marketing as though it were your business.

Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing who is based in Redwood City, CA, our ideal candidate will be based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area or in Redwood City, CA (other geographies will be considered on a case-by-case basis). She/he will:
•Define Informatica’s go to market strategy, core positioning, and messaging to increase awareness and adoption of Informatica solutions in the U.S. public sector with a strong focus in the U.S. Federal DoD and Intelligence sectors
•Deliver high-impact sales tools and marketing content targeting key IT and business decision makers and influencers in the U.S. public sector
•Collaborate and work cross-functionally across corporate/field/product marketing, sales, alliances and product development to bring to market specific solutions addressing the most pressing problems in the U.S. public sector--Federal as well as state and local--to drive pipeline and sales
•Cultivate and capture customer references from the U.S. public sector
•Drive the design and delivery of specific solutions for the public sector, leveraging Informatica’s software products, professional services and partners
•Provide tools and training to the U.S. public sector sales team to effectively win business
•Evangelize Informatica’s solutions for public sector to customers, partners, analysts, press, industry publications, and social media channels
•Make content and strategies available to non-U.S. regions for their reuse

Desired Skills and Experience

Your Qualifications
•7 or more years of enterprise software product/solutions marketing experience and/or consulting/professional services experience to the U.S. public sector
•Experience in the U.S. public sector, either in the industry itself or as a technology vendor/consultant to the industry; Department of Defense or Intelligence sector work experience is a definite plus
•Strong leadership, strategy, and execution skills with demonstrated track record of career advancement and success in the enterprise software industry
•Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills and ability to successfully interact across functions at all levels of an organization, with industry associations, partners, customer, and the public
•Experience in the data integration, data quality, master data management, information management or application integration software markets
•Experience creating differentiated positioning that articulates a compelling strategic vision and demonstrates business value for customers
•Experience in building market recognition and sales/marketing pipeline to drive revenue growth
•Ability to coordinate GTM (go-to-market) efforts across sales, marketing and alliances to drive sales pipeline and revenue
•Self-motivated and team-oriented; able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
•Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical discipline; MBA preferred
