DIRECTOR, SAAS ALLIANCES - SAN FRANCISCO

DESCRIPTION:
Do you want to be an integral part of a pre-IPO powerhouse? Do you want to be a key driver of accellerating our high growth, but at an IPO scale? MuleSoft is looking for that passionate, intelligent and highly driven individual who see’s the massive market opportunity for SaaS adoption driving an increasing need for SaaS and Enterprise integration. Do you have a vision for how to create and drive a SaaS vendor ecosystem that can literally double the opportunity pipeline for MuleSoft? This high visibility role is the perfect opportunity for someone with a strong partner driven background, and with great execution DNA who is interested in stepping up and owning the broad SaaS ecosystem at MuleSoft.
Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the candidate will work to refine and launch the MuleSoft SaaS Alliance Program with the goal of driving lead and opportunity pipeline growth in their first 60 days on the job. Mulesoft employees work closely together and put in start-up hours, so the successful candidate enjoys working with the team and “doing whatever it takes” to win. POSITION DELIVERABLES:
Identify and recruit the first 5 key SaaS vendor relationships that can drive new leads and referrals for MuleSoft’s offerings. Based on this success, build a business plan for hiring an initial team to recruit and drive pipeline with the next 20 SaaS partners.
Establish MuleSoft as the premier “top of mind” technology partner regarding application integration and connectivity with the partner’s sales, marketing and services teams, as evidenced by a measurable joint pipeline with that partner.
Effectively position to the Partner the value proposition of putting their Application’s “Cloud Connector” into the MuleSoft product set, and web properties, gaining a new IT developer audience in excess of 400,000 new individuals through the SaaS Alliance Program.
Working across marketing and sales leadership across the company to drive key alliance sales metrics related to partners as a new opportunity funnel, and measure the behavior of this new type of sales funnel on a weekly basis.
Work with marketing to refine existing marketing and sales messages to Alliance partners. This includes solution value propositions, ensuring world-class sales collateral, and providing evidence to drive and support ROI from the alliance, which may include sales programs and customer interactions in the field.

Desired Skills and Experience
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Good working knowledge of the SaaS marketplace and the leading venders in the respective market segments, and be able to efficiently communicate MuleSoft’s value proposition to them.
Experience with creating ‘meaningful’ partnerships with other SaaS or ISV’s vendors
Be highly intelligent and strategic, but with an ability to boil things down in focused execution and results
Personal Characteristics:

Able to thrive in a “do whatever it takes” start-up environment.
