Open Innovation Center (OIC) is a recently launched Samsung Electronics organization based in Silicon Valley, CA. OIC’s mission is to incubate and build world class software and service capabilities. OIC will be active in four primary areas:
Investments in and acquisitions of early stage technology startups
Incubation and prototyping of software services for Samsung devices
Strategic partnerships with leading media and tech companies and universities
Collaboration with entrepreneurs, startups and developers to foster development for Samsung cross-device ecosystem
OIC is constructed to leverage the dynamic culture of the Valley, allowing diversely talented individuals to form organic teams and pursue innovation, while providing essential early stage resources: capital, infrastructure, distribution and guidance.

Common Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationship with key business and functional leads within the company
Lead evaluation of potential acquisitions, including facilitating strategic review, preparing financial models and assembling presentation material
Day-to-day point person on individual transactions, including engaging with key internal stakeholders, managing technical and business due diligence, and helping drive negotiations and overall document preparation
Contribute to the team’s thought leadership and overall strategy formulation
Desired Skills and Experience
Seven (7) plus years of corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or similar roles
Experience in leading transactions from end to end (strategic evaluation to signed documents), including talent and tech capability transactions
Recent focus on the technology sector, and experience with global businesses
MBA or advanced technical degree
Corporate experience and strategy work is a plus

Ability to identify core issues quickly
