Job Description
As our Global Site Merchandising Director you will have a variety of responsibilities including the following:
Defining and delivering global standards for digital merchandising in collaboration with both Brand and Category partners as well as DTC buying teams.
Partnering with Dorinda and team to drive the seasonal concept map, identifying the stories and campaigns that will matter most to our consumer and driving best in class digital retail practices to ensure we deliver these stories in a compelling and commercially appropriate manner.
Ensure that we maintain an aligned and appropriate view across categories and stories and that the sum of these stories adds up to one aligned, holistic vision and POV.
Lead our commerce efforts, in partnership with Brand and Category, across our prioritized consumer journeys (Runners, Women, Sneaker Fanatic, Sport Obsessed Kid, etc.) to ensure that we deliver the appropriate product, experiences and services for each consumer segment.
Work with teams in geos/territories globally to ensure that local input is being heard and that the global IMM process and concept map includes these inputs and insights.
Partner with the Analytics teams to ensure that seasonal stories and content achieve necessary KPIs (conversion, click thru, etc) and that these results are fed back into future development to improve content.
Partner with Digital Marketing teams in Commerce and Brand to be sure content is aligned and drives storytelling at the right times in the right places.
Build and manage the Global Merchandising team of Content Leads and Managers - inspire them, coach them, have their back, and lead a best in class offense.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management or Merchandising
- 2 years' additional experience is generally accepted in lieu of a degree
- 8 years' experience in merchandising, product marketing, retail presentation, concept development, business management, people management and/or international business
- Ability to develop strategic and business plans
- Exceptional influence, communication and presentation skills
- Proven leadership abilities
- Experience and skill in leading a team
- Skilled at developing and promoting people and maximizing their potential
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
