AIT Vendor Management Director Prudential - hartford
Job Description
The Vendor Management Director within AIT (Annuities Information Technology) has the responsibility of managing the overall function of AIT Vendor Management. The function provides senior management, guidance and administration of Annuities Information Technology and Sourcing vendors. The role has a high level of interaction will upper and middle mgmt. Strong Leadership and guidance must be provided where facts are precise and critical thinking is required to provide senior mgmt with the insight needed to make organizational decisions. This role requires many leadership competencies such as talent mgmt, high moral compass, critical thinking, collaboration, strong customer relations, and ability to help set and transform strategy into action.
This position can be located in either Hartford or Shelton, CT;
Responsibilities include:
AIT Vendor Performance Management - monitor, analyze and evaluate AIT vendor performance against a set of metrics on a regular basis. Acts as an internal escalation point for IT vendor issues.
AIT Vendor Contract Management - manage/construct terms and conditions of vendor contract, scopes and negotiates changes against the contract's commercial and financial terms over the life cycle of the contractual agreement.
AIT Vendor Relationship Management - Creates and manages the strategic roadmap with key Technology vendors. Maintains positive partnerships benefiting Prudential and the Vendor.
AIT Technology Sourcing - the strategic objective of Technology Sourcing is to optimize the business value delivered by IT (which includes, but is not limited to, efficiency, quality and reduced costs). Tactically objectives include negotiations, contract development, RFP's. RFI's, etc
3^rd party Vendor Management activities
Management of the Annuity IT Offshore Provider relationship
Annuity IT Sourcing Office - administration of Annuities Information technology and sourcing vendors.
Governance of domestic and global vendors (hardware, software, staff augmentation, sourcing)
IT Contract Management (licensing, legal review, interface with Business ISO, etc)
Maintain and own the relationships and contracts of existing vendors and drive the selection of new partner(s)
Assume responsibility for Domestic Relationship Management from the current decentralized model across the organization
Financial management of all contracts
Forecasting & on-boarding of all vendor resources (desk space, facilities, machines)
SOW (Statement of Work) management
Relationship management with Prudential's Global sourcing office
Matching business needs to vendor competencies
5 + years experience managing IT vendor relationships and contract negotiations to include:
On and off-shore IT Vendor Relationship Management
3^rd Party Vendor Management
Coordination with Law, Procurement and vendor due diligence
Resource Management
Contract Due Diligence
Bachelor's degree a plus
