PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Travel Management Consultant demonstrates extensive functional and/or solution
experience through the facilitation, implementation and support of SAP products to enhance the
clients’ business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of
customer satisfaction. The Travel Management Consultant is considered a senior thought leader
in area of expertise and leverages their advanced skills in consulting and problem solving to
create customer value, often times in high profile, strategic accounts. The Consultant should
continually maintain a high degree of knowledge and understanding of their area of expertise,
business process and solutions, keep current with release levels, industry issues, and market
trends. They should assume responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP processes,
solutions, and products within assigned accounts for their core area of expertise. They will
make strategic and tactical recommendations and decisions for customers/externally regularly
and will advise management internally on a regular basis. These recommendations include both
external facing activities as well as identify investment opportunities to further support Sales,
Marketing, and Field Consulting.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Core Area Expertise Consulting: Responsible for proactively utilizing SAP tools, ASAP
methodology and individual product and process knowledge on customer projects; consistently
exceed customer expectations and receive high customer satisfaction ratings by demonstrating
effective consulting skills; establish trusted advisor relationship with customers. Provide
leadership in solution and system design during all phases of client implementation. Must
possess SAP Travel Management product and process knowledge, implementation experience
and leadership experience.
Practice & Skill/Competency Development: Continually strive to maximize value via investment
activities. Drive the creation of practice related tools and knowledge content and provide
knowledge transfer to the extended field in core area(s) of expertise. Participate in community of
practice activities and knowledge transfer events. Continuously enhance business process,
product and industry knowledge as well as core competencies. Support pre-sales team and
license selling efforts when needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Deep process and implementation knowledge of the SAP solution – “Travel
Management,” including Travel Requests, Travel Planning and Travel Expenses, proven by
leading projects and designing SAP-based solutions for customers on a cross-industry basis.
• Creative individual with strong networking and customer relationship management
capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills, results-oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.
• Ability to present complex information to customers and colleagues in a clear and
appealing manner.
• Fluent English is a must, other languages a plus.
