Job Description

Develops, implements and maintains product quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of products. The Quality Assurance Manager participates in the implementation of new technology, procedures or new products to contribute quality requirements and considerations. Assist manufacturing in gathering and analyze data to improve process or product quality and publish data and reports on performance against goals. Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain an Enterprise Quality Management System to increase customer satisfaction, improve efficiency, reduce cost and support industry standards.
Develop and administer the company quality programs with regards to tracking quality complaints, monitoring, reporting, goal setting, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action.
Defines and specifies the implementation of standards.
Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation when needed.
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with Operations.
Gathering and analyzing performance data and charts against defined goals.
Validate and qualify the implementation of new equipment, process or products. Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary;
Facilitate and support training on 5S, lean, implementation and control of Standard Operation Practices SOP, document control, complaint tracking system, continues improvement and root cause analysis methodologies.
Drive corrective and preventive action response through the complaint tracking system.
Administer quality audits to verify internal and external manufacturing compliance with set standards.
In collaboration with Procurement set material standards, track and monitor non-conformance in supplied materials and participate / facilitate material issue resolution.
Assess and qualify suppliers with regards to quality. Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization;
Be an advocate for total quality management, bringing together staff of different disciplines and promote ideas for improvements and insight.
Define and promote a quality vision throughout the organization.

Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience within manufacturing. Commercial and / or digital printing is preferred.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering or Statistics.
Experience from a multi unit, domestic or international company.
Project Management experience. ISO experience is a plus.
Work experience with risk management, statistical analysis, quality assurance and quality control practices.
Excellent skills in Enterprise Quality Management Software and Microsoft Office suite.
