Oursynergistic approach to fulfilling client needs allows the Media Director to beclient facing while he/she simultaneously works with internal departments fromconception to completion, making creative suggestions and providing input alongthe way.

Thisposition would oversee two teams responsible for developing multi-channel mediaplans in accordance with the objectives, strategies and goals communicated byHeartbeat Idea’s roster of top tier clients. The media director would providevision and leadership to the growing media team, ensuring excellence inexecution for our west-coast clients. The opportunity exists for the right candidate to start hiring theirteam immediately.

Themedia director would also be responsible for staying on top of emerging mediatrends, in keeping with Heartbeat’s mantra of ‘next-new’. Providing internal and external POVs on mediarelated topics ensures the company and our clients are aware of the latestofferings, their benefits and potential pitfalls.

Thisposition also has a significant role in new business development. While not responsible for obtaining andperusing leads, the media director would assist the VP of Media (to whom thisposition reports) in idea creation, scoping, presentation development, etc.

Idealcandidate has multi-channel experience across various industries, includingpharmaceutical. Experience in digital isa must. Must possess strong leadershipskills with proven ability to manage and grow a team. You must have working knowledge of variouspricing models (CPC, CPA, etc.) as well as knowledge of multiple tools andresearch providers: comScore, Nielsen, MRI. An understanding of SEM is strongly preferred. Candidate should also posses strongnegotiation skills, the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively andpersuasively, and think strategically. Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
10+ years of media planning experience across all channels
Proven ability to solve clients’ business needs
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to collaborate and work with multiple practices internallyaccording to existing processes
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fastpaced environment
Superior communication skills
History of providing clients with successful media campaigns
Ability to uncover, articulate and implement actionable insights
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to hire strong supportstaff
Working knowledge of 3rd party software: specifically DoubleClick,MRI and the Nielsen suite
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Understanding of CPM, CPC, CPA, and CPL buying models as well asGRPs
Ability to present ideas and gain consensus and support
A high level of energy and initiative to explore, conceptualize andimplement new processes and work flows
Experience working with Pharmaceutical clients a plus
