Director of Talent Management Arabella Advisors - Washington, Chicago, or New York


Job Description


Arabella Advisors seeks a dynamic and innovative Director of Talent Acquisition to build an effective recruitment function and lead organization-wide efforts to develop a pipeline of exceptional talent for Arabella. The ideal candidate brings leadership, creativity, innovation and knowledge of best-in-class recruitment practices. Responsibilities
Buildthe recruitment function and department including strategy, operations, budget and policies
Develop and implement an organizational talent acquisition strategy
Develop the Arabella employment brand and market it effectively to attract exceptional candidates
Mobilize Arabella staff, including senior leadership team, around recruiting initiatives
Build strategic external recruiting networks that serve as a pipeline of potential candidates
Collaborate with senior leaders and hiring managers to determine hiring needs and forecasting, strategies for finding and selecting candidates, drafting position descriptions etc.
Provide relevant internal recruiting training (i.e. interviewing skills) to hiring managers
Screen candidates and create short-list pools for specific positions
Manage long-term relationships with candidates that may meet a future Arabella need
Build processes and tools to support recruitment at Arabella
Oversee and/or manage Arabella’s online recruiting system
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal law related to hiring practices
Support or lead special talent management projects as assigned

Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required
5 or more years of relevant professional experience
Experience developing and implementing new and innovative ideas/programs
Ability to effectively judge talent
Ability to influence and motivate others
Experience developing and managing a brand
Experience as a project manager that can lead a group through a process that is organized,
planned and communicated effectively
Experience with building and maintaining networks and strategic partnerships
Experience managing and working with an online recruitment database and system
