Job Description
The Sr. Director of Product Line Management is a leader of a team of individual contributors collectively responsible for the following:
• Managing the content and oversight of the development roadmap.
• Interacting with customers in support of sales initiatives and to provide market insight to the corporation.
• Providing support to sales as experts in the features and function of the product line.
• Providing ownership and execution of the appropriate decision review points in the product lifecycle.
• Supporting RFP activities and supporting pricing decisions in association with sales opportunities.
• Serving as the primary interface between sales/marketing and engineering.
• Driving top line corporate growth, bottom line profitability and key product investment decisions.
The Sr. Director of Product Line Management reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering Operations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience as a manager and individual contributor in a Product Line Management organization in a comparable technical space (telecommunications, data communications). A strong background in both the internal and external aspects of the position is key requirement. In addition, a strong technical background and good communication skills are requisite.
A proven track record of accomplishment and leadership will be strongly considered in the decision process.
