Rapidly growing California regional bank, River City Bank, is looking for a hands-on team player and coach to manage all aspects of information services as the Director of Information Technology. This position is responsible for managing a team of 5 direct reports, outsourced vendors and all information technology compliance. Experience in a highly regulated environment is required.

The Director of Information Technology leads the development and implementation of strategic and tactical plans for client service technology/delivery systems and operational functions. The Director of Information Technology oversees and manages the information services function for the Bank and the Business Continuity Plan. Manages daily activities and administration of the Information Services (IS) department and ensures the establishment and implementation of bank-wide information security.

Working closely with assigned staff and outsourced vendors, the Director of Information Technology manages technology maintenance and acquisition, including but not limited to: software, hardware, systems support, data processing operations, telecommunications, ATMs, internet banking, cash management, voice response and related systems. Additionally, the Director of Information Technology facilitates client service delivery by upgrading and/or replacing systems as necessary.

The Director of Information Technology ensures the establishment and implementation of the Bank’s computer processing contingency and disaster recovery plans. Ensures that the bank has system architectures and capabilities that support current and anticipated needs for the effective use of information as a competitive advantage in delivering financial services to clients.

Required Experience:

Eight to ten years of experience in a mainframe systems software environment, including PC-based applications, client server architecture and database systems in a networked environment; information and cyber security; system and process development experience and supervisory experience.
Minimum two years recent experience in a highly regulated environment (ie: banking, financial services, healthcare, etc.)
Three to five years of experience managing technical and strategic planning is also required. Experience in a financial services environment is highly desirable.
Experience with the Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) Integrated Business Systems (IBS) core banking platform and ancillary products is preferred.
Strong project management, negotiation, analytical, leadership and team building skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Computer Science or related field or the equivalent in related experience.
