Responsibilities
We are looking for a Director, Product Management that will grow the travel/luggage business through strategic planning and product development within the parameters of the Tumi brand.
Responsible for the ownership, vision and overall performance of product lines which include developing strategies to increase sales and steward new products through the product introduction process.
Work closely with the design team to ensure the collections and styles meet both the aesthetic and business goals of the brand.
Reviewing sales analyses to assess performance against plans.
Identifying opportunities and responding to business trends and the competition.
Partner with the marketing team to help create communication and marketing programs to support the new introductions you develop and introduce.
Responsible for reviewing sales analyses to assess performance against plans.
Own product lifecycle management and seasonal product flow. Ensure strategies are communicated to TUMI internal and external partners to allow smooth transition in and out of product.

Have a pulse on the business, understand the competition, and react to current needs of the client.
Partner cross functionally with Design, Marketing, Sourcing and Product Management to ensure alignment on strategy, development and execution of new businesses.
Qualifications
10 years of experience working in retail merchandising, brand or product management, or a similar function.
Keen sense of style is a must.
Exceptional quantitative analytical skills, as well as the ability to make qualitative assessments.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills coupled with a diplomatic approach.
Prior experience with SAP a plus.
