Our (In Market) HR Director for the Mediterranean (Greece and Italy) leads and manages the end-to-end People/HR agenda. It ensures for the following entities (Diageo Hellas/Guinness Continental/Diageo Italy) our business objectives are achieved via transformational local HR strategies and interventions routed to in depth understanding of local market dynamics and competition.
It is a change catalyst role which allows successful implementation of such strategies liaising appropriately with central HR teams, leveraging centrally developed programmes, tools, policies & frameworks and providing on going coaching and on the field support for senior functional leaders.
Leads local HR and provides excellent people and performance management, capability development and coaching to ensure the highest levels of business partnering and service delivery to all customers, internal and external.
Talent, Learning and Development
Embeds core programmes and orchestrates local delivery - facilitating when required. Monitoring costs and embedding the program principles within the two markets. Builds people line manager capability through targeted interventions and own coaching to ensure consistent and quality execution of all core people processes while embedding Diageo Leadership Standard/Diageo Capabilities.
Organisational change
Leads initiatives to ensure that organisations are progressively more effective and efficient within rapidly changing environments. Ensuring effective change, by demonstrating sound judgment and providing solutions that respond to changing environments and interdependencies across functions.
Reward and Recognition
Works with Reward to ensure harmonization of our strategy with local architecture. Maintains strategic perspective regarding Reward and Recognition programmes, principles, practices and accountabilities and evolves the how these are utilised.
Employee Relations
Provides proactive input and advice to support the business in ad-hoc projects including organisational restructures and redundancy projects.
Financial Management
Manages, influences & reviews the total overhead budget for the business and the non-staff related costs. Assumes responsibility for flawless staff reporting, budgeting and planning activities for all employees based in Greece.
Qualifications and experience
Strong functional grounding including all functional areas:
Commercial and business orientation
Leadership, people and resource management
Demonstrable experience of addressing a number of different commercial challenges or working in diverse commercial environments
Experience working on cross functional and multi-cultural teams
Academic qualification in HR
Understanding of local employee legislation
Fluency in English and Greek
