At Lyft HQ, the mission of the Driver Operations team is to onboard, educate, engage, and ultimately inspire loyalty for this community of drivers - and provide the world’s best transportation to passengers. As Director, Driver Operations Planning & Analytics you will ensure that we are identifying the right opportunities and prioritizing the right set of actions to grow our community of drivers, while making sure everything is backed by solid data and business insights. You will be a trusted member and business partner to the Driver Operations leadership team to guide the team’s success against objectives.
Responsibilities:
Drive annual and quarterly planning for Driver Operations including setting aggressive but attainable goals and developing the initiative plan to meet objectives
Lead a team of operational analysts to proactively drive business insights, provide regular business reporting, and frame-up business recommendations for the driver side of the business
Become a trusted advisor and business partner to the Driver Operations leadership team by understanding the data better than anyone, and making sound decisions on where to prioritize efforts
Lead regular operational reviews with executive management, using effective presentation and structured communications techniques
Work closely with Lyft’s product, engineering, operations, and business teams to align priorities and roadmaps
Report to and advise the VP of Driver Operations
Experience & Skills:
Demonstrated success in strategy development, operational planning, and analytics
Experience as a management consultant or investment banking analyst/associate
Meaningful experience in a start-up or high-growth environmentIntellectually curious and highly analytical; always seeking to ask the next question
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field of study; MBA a plus
Intellectually curious and highly analytical; always seeking to ask the next question
Ability to distill large and complex data sets into business insights and recommendations. Able to move past pure data analysis to surface the “so what”
Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills, but comfortable with ambiguity and adept at solving problems creatively
Can communicate complex ideas using frameworks and concise verbal and written executive level communication
Demonstrated ability to recruit and develop a world-class world-class
Q, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive consensus with internal and external stakeholders
Collegial and can-do personality, with great sense of humor
Comfortable with complex data models and analysis techniques; knowledge of SQL a plus
