The Director will be responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting function and for ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for all Gap Inc. brands and functions by maintaining a current library of accounting policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong public accounting background, experience leading a large team and excellent organization and communication skills.
Ability to earn trust and confidence of business partners; positive attitude, strong communicator, and extremely well organized.
Ability to lead and manage through challenging projects and multiple priorities.
Ability to coach, mentor and develop a strong team.
KEY EXPERIENCES
CPA and Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
10+ year’s experience; public accounting background required.
Experience with a large publicly-traded company with international operations.
Detailed knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 810 and ASC 842 preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
