NIO is seeking a Strategy & Operations Director to own the success of NIO’s programs, and serve as the champion for all deliverables from NIO’s Corporate Development Office (CDO).
Responsibilities include leading global operational cadence for NIO’s Global Corporate Development Office (CDO) across engineering, finance, legal, global vehicle PMO, and product management teams. He/She will develop a deep knowledge of interdepartmental dependencies and be responsible for creating and implementing processes as well as resolving issues cross functionally as those arise. He/She will enjoy “rolling up his/her sleeves” to make an impact and deliver results resourcefully to ensure success for CDO deliverables.
Specific Responsibilities
Create and implement operational cadence for CDO program office
Manage communications CDO team and global cross functional teams on key initiatives. Ensure stakeholder alignment.
Translate ideas and strategies into actionable plans and results.
Maintain overall accountability for project delivery, including budgets and milestones
Play a key role as a visible leader throughout the enterprise leading change and delivering value
Define, and drive strategic and operational initiatives, working with senior executives.
Proactively identify critical strategic issues, and resolve blocking issues.
Act as a change agent throughout the organization driving innovation and transformation
Participate and facilitate strategic prioritization process
Advise internal stakeholders of financial, operational and strategic implications of upcoming decisions
Manage program portfolio visibility
Plan and manage weekly executive business and operational reviews across global cross-functional teams.
Define and track key performance metrics including financial targets to ensure the company meets overall profitability goals
Requirements
Ideal candidate would have strategy consulting experience with the automotive industry, with 10-15 years of experience in the HW and SW industry, including product launch experience.
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with ability to work successfully across global cross functional leaders.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with engineering, functional leaders and senior management
Maturity, judgment, and proven ability to lead and influence others.
Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related discipline.
MBA is a plus.
Experience with Automotive Tier 1 EE integration process preferred
Mandarin language skills a plus.
