The India HR Director reports to the Vice President, HR based in Sunnyvale and serves as a member of the NetApp India executive management team. The individual will work in close collaboration with all local business leaders, global HR and HR CoE leaders, for successful planning and delivery of HR programs in NetApp Bangalore Campus(NBC) and all SAARC locations. S/he will also be a key member of the Global HR leadership team for successful planning and delivery of HR programs and services to the business. With an employee population of nearly 2,000 today, the India HR Director is the most senior HR professional in the country. The successful candidate will be business savvy, an influencer, consultant, and coach.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic business partner for leaders across Engineering, Sales, Services and Corporate Functions focused on a broad-based and transformational talent agenda designed to recruit, develop and retain the very best innovative talent in the business
To proactively play a role in positioning India GIC in the overall NetApp business context. Represent NetApp India in the industry fora as a thought leader and be part of the team that provides an upward trajectory to the NetApp India site maturity.
Provide proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning that align the HR agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives in client groups
Drive continuous talent management, executive talent reviews and robust succession plans, enabling leadership that enables a high-performance organization environment.
Drive and facilitate change management processes and culture integration with business leadership to achieve desired outcomes.
Champion and drive for leadership ownership on best in class standards for employer branding which includes ethics compliance, safe working environment and being employer of choice
Partner with NetApp shared services, Total Rewards, Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Acquisition to deliver a unified HR vision for NetApp India
Monitors the environment, labor markets, legal and regulatory changes, and business and industry trends to identify and recommend changes to HR specific policies and practices. Oversees and/or coordinates labor & employee relations to include government regulatory agencies, audit and compliance efforts
Job Requirements
Ideal Experience
15+ years of Human Resources leadership experience with around 5 years of managerial experience. Industry is open with a preference for the technology industry.
Experience in contributing to a growing global business and positive reputation for working effectively across levels of an organization
Proven ability to operate strategically and have a hands-on approach including building organizational talent and workforce plans.
Business acumen; ability to understand “big picture” business results and effectively apply a pragmatic and flexible HR model to contribute to NetApp’s continued success
Successful implementation of large-scale transformation, operational and strategic HR programs and processes
Possess strong influencing and interpersonal skills and have a track record for being a trusted business advisor
Ability to build trust, respect and confidence of leadership and employees projecting as a fair, firm and friendly leader
Education
A graduate, ideally with an MBA or other Masters Degrees or equivalent with human resource specialization from a top tier.
