The Director of Innovation will lead the innovation bring in and lead testing of innovative technologies, methodologies and platforms by working externally with partners to align ideation and implementation with the vision and direction of the company strategy and instill capabilities required to drive innovation as a key growth driver of the organization.
• Demonstrate clear understanding of the Franchises strategic priorities.
• Partner with Brand Teams and Franchise leadership in the development of strategy and tactical plan aligned with the brand priorities.
• Advise and influence brand team on strategic options for innovative customer engagement to maximize impact and optimize investment.
• Develop collaborations/partnerships with external entities, mature and startups. Strong ability to find synergies and become a preferred partner for technology companies
• Attend industry events and keep abreast of the latest innovations and technologies to solution business/customer needs
• Support innovation platform and help disseminate across the organization
• Instrumental in identifying and evaluating strategic innovation opportunities
• Develop business cases to support innovation strategy and build alignment among key stakeholders in order to gain support
• Challenge organizational norms and capabilities to consider new and different opportunities
• Lead the ideation phase of the strategic innovation process, including developing methods and tools for idea generation and implementation
• Coach leaders on effective innovation processes, interventions and communication to promote understanding, commitment and capability around innovation across the company.

Minimum requirements * BA/BS Required; MBA, PhD a plus
• > 10 Year experience working in a heavily matrixed and complex environment
• Experience in strategy and/or client services (e.g. agency and consultancy)
• Entrepreneurial drive and spirit required
• Pharma industry experience a plus
• Candidates must have experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes
• Demonstrated business expertise and knowledge (business acumen) and the ability to consult internally and/or externally
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence across a matrix organization
• Demonstrated prioritization, organizational, analytical and research skills as well as the ability to conceptualize more complex issues and work on complex processes, procedures or solutions

• Demonstrated experience in working with others to achieve organizational objectives including the ability to anticipate and adapt, own and or/work group tactics to support changing business needs
