Premium Cloud Operations Director Oracle Moscow

Oracle Premium Cloud Operations provides end-to-end Oracle Fusion Applications SaaS management solutions to our customers utilizing ITIL based processes.
This team is responsible for providing managed services for Fusion Applications provisioning, implementation support, production operations support, migrations and upgrades, change management, release management, cloning and automation solutions for selected Premium customers.

The PCO Team’s newest offering is “Fusion Applications SaaS@Customer.” A customer of this offering will obtain “Oracle Cloud@Customer” hardware installed in their datacenter, Fusion SaaS applications software and database to run on that hardware, and all hardware/software support services for one subscription fee.

The PCO team seeks an Operations Director who will be responsible for the launch and support operations of our customers’ projects in Russia. This position will report to the Program leadership based in US or UK.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Learn and maintain an understanding of the solution – understand the technical solution sufficiently well so as to know and be able to describe to others the solution concepts, terminology, benefits to the customer, and the general nature of installation and support processes and procedures
• Help to establish support offices in Moscow first, then St. Petersburg
• Help to recruit, hire, then arrange for detailed technical training of support personnel
• Oversee customer implementations to ensure the support teams’ successful project delivery
• Partner with Oracle Sales and other channels as needed to help sell the solution to prospects
• Partner with Oracle Consulting or other Systems Implementers and with ACS, the platform team, to contribute to project plans to implement the SaaS@Customer offering for a given customer

Qualifications and Skills:
• 3-5 years’ experience hiring and managing effective technical project implementation or operations support teams
• 5-7 years’ experience as a systems or technical architect of large, complex systems
• 5-7 years’ experience having implemented large-scale applications implementation projects particularly those using Oracle Fusion Middleware or WebLogic technologies
• Experience with Cloud-based as well as on-premise implementations
• Ability to define appropriate high level or detailed technical implementation project plans and Work Breakdown Structures, using Microsoft Project or some other project planning tool
• Ability to create and present PowerPoint or other presentations to help report project status to customers and program leadership
• Collaborative team-play
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BS degree in Computer Science/MIS/Engineering or a related field, with a 3.0GPA or higher

Manages teams supporting and/or implementing multi-functional and/or multi-location projects and/or systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s).

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Successful track record as a manager. Detailed knowledge of technical and business concepts of a number of related applications areas. BA/BS degree preferred.
