Responsibilities:
Counsel for Tumblr and other Oath products on numerous legal subject areas, including consumer protection and content regulation.
Coordinate legal services for business and product expansions into a variety of business lines, considering the regulatory climate, and balancing both legal and business factors.
Interact often with senior Tumblr executives.
Work extensively with product teams and legal colleagues worldwide to ensure that Tumblr and other Oath products are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Active member of a state bar (preferably California) with 8-12 years of experience advising technology companies on areas of legal risk, including product counseling, compliance, and user and community-related issues.
Review, draft, and negotiate licensing and and other strategic transactions.
Excel in cross-departmental coordination and communication to drive projects and deals to resolution.
A sense of humor, flexibility, creativity, professionalism and collegiality.
In-house legal experience preferred.
