Director Medical Science Clinical Success Proteus Digital Health Redwood City

The Director of Medical Science and Clinical Success plays a critical role in driving adoption and use of Proteus Discover by interacting closely with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. The position will focus on leading a team of clinical specialists and organizing on-site clinical and product integration, including education to patients and healthcare professionals on the value and use of Proteus Discover in care.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a healthcare leader, such as directing a population health program and have a passion for delivering exceptional patient and provider experience with innovative digital medicines.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop clinical implementation protocols for optimizing customer site workflows to drive integration, adoption, and use of Proteus Discover and to scale best practices across customer sites.
Identify key administrative and clinical stakeholders at customer sites and develop excellent relations with them, working closely with Proteus Account Manager, Customer Success and Medical Science and Solutions team members.
Lead a team of clinical specialists, who provide ongoing training and support to clinical staff, and develop metrics to measure team success.
Create new product development initiatives, working closely with the technical Product teams, based on the synthesis of customer needs and identification of friction points to scale utilization of Proteus.
Provide formal and informal presentations and support to physicians, nurses, other allied healthcare professionals and C-suite partners that highlight the clinical and/or health economic benefits of the Proteus platform.
Stay current on developments in the field of digital health and perform as the company’s local product and clinical applications expert.
The individual in this role will also be responsible for the identification of project risks, contingency planning implementation and be operating within the project timelines and budget.
Qualifications/Experience:

Licensed/Registered Healthcare Provider (i.e. NP, MD, PA, RN, PharmD, Case Manager, Certified Medical Assistant, Research Coordinator).
8+ years of relevant experience across multiple clinical care settings, ideally ambulatory clinics or physician office environments, and acute/post-acute care environments.
3+ years of management experience in healthcare settings.
Clinical development experience in oncology or hematology. Prior development experience in neuro-oncology is preferred.
Serve as a primary medical point of contact with contracted CROs, investigators, ethics committees, IRBs, and opinion leaders/advisors.
Take a major role in integrating pre-clinical, clinical, and competitive data to generate a development plan that maximizes opportunities for clinical and commercial success of the molecule.
Partner with clinical operations and other functional areas for the successful implementation and execution of clinical studies.
Extensive experience with implementing new clinical programs, initiatives, or health care technologies.
Experience with care delivery redesign, quality improvement initiatives, and value-based care design.
Demonstrate effective educational and presentation skills in diverse settings from one-on-one discussions to formal large group situations.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, potentially including motivational interviewing or selling skills.
Advanced MS Office skills to develop effective reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
General interest and comfort with consumer technology (mobile devices, apps, software).
Knowledge and/or previous experience of digital health and remote patient monitoring.
