The Franchise Group Director - role is responsible for leading operations to develop and grow a multi-category beverage portfolio in the Liberty Coca-Cola Bottling territory. This role develops and implements innovative business strategies and tactics in partnership with Liberty Coca-Cola that deliver sustainable growth and profitability as well as expand the category. Manages the pipeline of projects and leads the execution and commercialization of projects from concept to launch. It also establishes business systems and procedures that ensure aligned effort from all functions of the bottler and the business unit.
The purpose of the role is to be a key Coca-Cola Company point of contact for Bottler GM's and their leadership team. Strong knowledge in designing and executing System aligned plans to grow system sales, revenue, margin and profit in line with LRP & ABP targets is required. This will be achieved by leveraging a multi-category beverage portfolio, across a broad spectrum of formats, customers and geographies, as well as, shaping the future Bottler capabilities required to lead the industry.

When the job is done correctly it will enable CCNA to strategically lead the System towards continuous improvement - interaction, collaboration, and standards - that result in prolonged growth and profitability for all; will enable Bottlers to live up to the partnership understanding beyond the franchise agreement - reinvest in the business, build infrastructure, excel in operational effectiveness, grow value competitive and improve execution continuously - striving for excellence while earning a fair return.

Ultimately, the function's deliverables are 1) Business results (Revenue, Gross Profit, Value Share, Transactions, Incidence, SOVI, ACV), 2) Collaborative business plan (bottoms-up, comprehensive, relevant, funded, resourced) with each Bottler; 3) Execution quality improvements in existing and new customers, 4) Bottler capability and infrastructure improvement in order to sustain our competitive edge

Strategic Thinking & Strategy Development of the multi-year Bottler (s) destination and business strategy.

Co-creates an aligned and comprehensive bottoms-up 3-year and 1-year Business Plan, respectively, with Bottlers to exceed the LRP/ABP targets.
Recommends infrastructure, capability, resource and investment strategies required to deploy the long-term Business plans.
Defines strategic imperatives influencing the marketing mix - integrated marketing programs to build brand equity, new revenues streams through innovation, application of RGM in order to maximize pricing dynamics / value capture for their optimal deployment and protects portfolio competitiveness.
Pursues whitespaces through, innovation or evolution, to grow the existing business set.
Understands competitor's strengths and weaknesses in order to make choices that allow the Company to capture a growing share of growth opportunities, as well as, recommend new approaches to improve our competitive set.
Deliver Business Commitments (Revenue, Gross Profit, Value Share, Transactions) and Delivers Execution Targets (In-store activation, competitiveness, availability, on-shelf in-stock, segmentation and infrastructure).

Shapes and deploys plans to deliver committed business and performance results.
Timely executes an integrated customer, consumer and shopper based business strategy & tactics.
Evaluates trends, reconsiders actions, redeploy resources, course correct in order to deliver plan.
Drives Alignment challenging the system in order to make the strategy come to life in the marketplace.

Leads Organization and Bottler to perform with excellence and build competitive advantage capabilities for long term success.
Influences and engages Bottler community to secure the execution of the OBPPC and the agreed segmented Picture of Success in the marketplace.
Commits the Bottler community to deploy the agreed consumer, shopper and customer program calendar, as well as, our price and packaging strategy with excellence.
Leads efforts to identify and build the organization capability that will increase execution impact and breadth in a growing multi-category beverage portfolio setting.
Build Cross-Functional Value-Based Relationships with internal functional leaders.

Pro-actively secures understanding and support from other Company functions, gain collaboration from Marketing, Technical, Finance, IT, PAC and HR as plans are taken to the Bottlers.
Actively engages the System with the Marketing and Technical departments.
Provides operational thought leadership that makes strategies may be actionable.
Identify sources of tangible Efficiency and Effectiveness opportunities in resource deployment.

Identifies incremental volume opportunities and designs programs that capitalize on them.
Identifies cost saving opportunities and designs practices that capitalize on them.

Leads the talent development, in partnership with Bottling partners, building a highly capable team and a robust talent pool with a focus to develop diverse future leaders.

Recommend compensation and conduct recruitment, hiring, terminations in conjunction with HR.
Leads by example in excelling at performance reviews, development plans, career plans
Ensures Compliance with internal policies, code of business conduct and accepted procedures.

Serve as the spokesperson and local representative for the Company, in conjunction with Public Affairs

Guardian of TCCC policies and procedures.
Establish effective public relations with key stakeholders and may act as the key Company spokesperson to government and media officials to maintain the strength of our trademark.
Ensure optimal product quality and activate Company quality systems / standards, in conjunction with Technical dept.
Communication Complexities:

Responsible for an overarching complex communication umbrella:

Leads relationship with Bottler General Manager and Senior Team to secure agreements on strategic market direction, review business performance, business plan and infrastructure matters, as well as, negotiations related to operational and strategic plans.
Communicates with direct reports on strategic market direction, priorities and business performance.
Collaborates and influence Marketing, Technical, HR, PAC and Finance within the company to develop projects and resolve issues.
Engages small, medium and large customers during regular market visits in order to assess the value generated from the strategies being implemented; Sustains a working relationship with the top management of regional customers.
Develop relationships with Government officials and community leaders to be able to influence policy that impact the system
Acts as the key Company spokesperson. Must establish effective public relations with key stakeholders government and media officials.
Analysis:

Franchise Leadership Group Director is faced with non-routine problems encompassing all aspects of the business and with different levels of complexity that require the ability to:

Identify and summarize the key issues / challenges / opportunities for improved business performance, through deep analyses of: a) Portfolio position & differentiation; b) key shopping occasions; c) competitive position; d) retail structure; e) internal System alignment;
Develop and evaluate best strategic choices that: a) address the key issues / challenges / opportunities; b) leverage brand's current and potential position; and, c) fit our execution capabilities;
Define strategic initiatives and implementation priorities, including key goals and steering mechanisms; and,
Design and properly evaluate the necessary financial analysis to understand the impact of decisions.
Apply predetermined work processes, as well as, identify new methods to improve overall Company position and business operations, given the unrelenting changes in the market landscape and competitive environment.

Judgment and Decision Making:

Has the authority - within the context of the brand, channels and Business Plan strategies - to evaluate alternatives and make decisions on necessary adjustments, considering their business impact.
Has the autonomy to set up project plans, prioritize activities and establish assignments, as well as in defining the means for the achievement of defined goals.
Has a key role in influencing the decision-making process with the bottler in the market-level execution and quality processes.
Influence the decision-making across peer functions when setting overall strategy, standards, innovation and functional plans.
Support development of the annual Business Plan and “rolling estimates”, including P&L accountability.
Manage contractual disagreements with bottlers; Annual Business Plans development and discussions with other leadership for agreement.

Knowledge & Experience:

12+ year's relevant business experience, among which 8 years in a Sr. Management role.
Strong Customer/Commercial and/or Operations experience.
Proven track record in growing bottler operations and results in the KO system.
