Global PMO Director AppDynamics San Francisco

Performs the leadership role in managing the implementation of AD enterprise software project and program portfolio within a geographical region. Expected to manage multiple delivery teams to drive projects and programs to successful completion (on-time, on budget, with high NPS) while maintaining billable utilization team targets.

-Management and development of PMO team including hiring, coaching and performance management as required
-Ensuring all PM staff are managed and developed effectively
-Quarterly assessment and completion of development plans
-Ensuring staff attend technical and soft skills training as required
-Ensuring staff complete weekly timesheets and maintain accurate details on availability within PSA system
-Ensure conditions of success (COS) or Business Value Realization (BVR) plans are established and delivered with all active engagement and ensure these are reviewed and maintained periodically through the project life cycle
-Leadership in development of best practices in project delivery and knowledge sharing across regions

-Prescriptive, consultative understands and can articulate how the AD software solutions align with the customer's needs - leads teams that inspire trust and confidence
-Cultivates satisfied repeat customers and generates positive feedback
-Manages portfolio risks, issues, action items, and decisions - creates, updates, communicates and orchestrates actions effectively for project success
-Escalates appropriately for issues impacting project delivery or customer satisfaction, following process and policy
-Leads the deployment and development of existing PMO best practice process procedures and standards providing mentoring and coaching to team to share information, improve skills, and develop useful process, content, and tools
-Identifies new or emergent business opportunities with customers and coordinates with AD Account teams for follow up


What Skills/Certifications do you need?

-MS Project - advanced level skill
-MS Office apps - Word, Excel, PowerPoint advanced level skill
-PSA tool – advanced level skill
-Proven understanding of different software deployment methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
-Able to articulate the AD Global Services approach and benefits of AD solutions
-Evidence of excellent communications – oral and written at senior level- listens and communicates effectively
-Proven team leadership and ability to manage technical teams indirectly
-Bachelor's degree level or equivalent required, MBA preferred
-PMP, PRINCE 2 Practitioner required
-MSP Practitioner or PgMP required
-ITIL Foundation required

What experiences do you need?

-At least 10 years experience in Project or Program Management within enterprise or equivalent software (involving the following experiences)
-Direct experience managing all phases of software Implementation project lifecycle
-Exposure to managing a portfolio of 50+ simultaneous projects and cross team
dependencies
-Managed project and technical delivery teams (minimum of 10 staff)
-Track record of delivery of large-scale technical projects (10+ team members, over $1K USD, over 12 months duration, more than 1 product suite)
-International management of teams and projects
