Roku Inc. is looking for a talented Director, Strategic Sourcing to help access competencies; capacity/growth plans, cost structure, technological direction, financial health, and potential risk. The role is based in our Los Gatos, CA headquarters, and will require some travel.
Foster strong relationships with supplier base from senior management through to hands on account teams to drive partnering and provide understanding of Roku's business dynamics.
Develop and execute sourcing strategy ensuring continuity of supply and mitigation of supply chain risk while meeting cost reduction targets.
Qualify new suppliers, lead supplier negotiations and establish documented volume purchase agreements.
Create and maintain an approved supplier list. Monitor suppliers to assure they maintain qualified status.
Establish vision of upstream supply chain to mitigate risk and provide supply chain predictability.
Work cooperatively with Contract Manufacturing partners to develop indirect sourcing strategy.
Quantify and forecast product cost during the product development cycle though mass production.
Coordinate with Design Engineering to identify technologies and key suppliers during new product development.
Mentor and develop team of Strategic Sourcing professionals and develop innovative, scalable process that leads to best in class results.
Work collaboratively with internal teams providing insight and transparency of supply chain dynamics.
Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field
10+ years leadership experience in procurement and contact negotiations in the high-tech hardware sector.
Strong experience working with International Contract Manufacturing Providers.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing in Consumer Electronics industry amidst a retail sales environment.
Proven record of proactive identification and management of supply chain risks.
Strong analytical skills and ability to develop ad hoc tools to aid in analytics.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and resourceful.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills; strong ability to influence others.
