Seagate is seeking a high-energy, analytical and strategic thinking Director, HR Analytics & Reporting for our headquarters in Cupertino, California. This role will build and drive a high performing HR analytics and business intelligence function at Seagate. The position will partner closely with a number of functions, including Seagate’s Data Scientists team - the Technology Advanced Analytics Group, and within HR - the HR Business Partner Team, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Global Learning & Development, HRIS and our HR Service Center. This role will manage a team that will directly influence business decisions at Seagate through data modeling, trends and analytics. As an expert in Big Data relationships, focused on all people data, this individual will have the background in trend analysis and predictive modeling required to develop analytics that enable us to anticipate and meet internal client needs with solutions tailored to their individual circumstances.


The Director of HR Analytics & Reporting will report to the HR Systems Executive Director at our Cupertino, CA site.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Manages the HR Analytics & Reporting function
Develops predictive modeling and trend analysis tools which anticipate needs and provide real-time solutions to meet those needs
Builds compelling metrics, reporting, and self-service dashboards
Works closely with stakeholders and HR Business Partners to access, pull, clean, and analyze data from a variety of data sources
Designs reporting tools that allow users to customize different views of metrics
Owns and drives analysis that identify relationships and trends; interprets data and communicates noteworthy findings to HR and business leaders
Dedicates themselves to constant audit and security of information as well as auditing current processes to identify opportunities for automation and simplification
Continually reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reports and dashboards and develops strategies for enhancement
Provides root-cause analysis to drive process improvements and business decisions based on data
Works with leadership for a variety of on-demand HR reports
Assists with data gathering strategies to ensure HR alignment with corporate goals and objectives
Automates time-consuming reporting using enterprise tools after ensuring solutions meet the business requirements
Your skill set will include:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or related field
10+ years applicable analysis and/or reporting experience
Experience managing, mentoring and developing talent
Proven Workday HCM experience
Can remain successful in ambiguous circumstances within a fast paced environment that often calls for reprioritization
Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills that allow you to clearly, compellingly, and effectively influence global audiences
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications

Data Scientist experience in predictive modeling using Hadoop or other similar platform
Proven experience with Workday’s Prism/Insights Big Data Modeling platform
Experience with statistical analysis, regression modeling and forecasting, time series analysis, and data mining is a plus
