As a Principal System architect, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex, cross modality system platform that span across various Inspection Technology products. You’ll be responsible for defining system architecture blueprint & long term technical road map for UTSP product development .
1) As the Principal System architect you need to understand the big picture of business needs for product line, work with product owners across the businesses i.e. internal/external customers to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate that vision into demonstrable UTSP products.2) A committed Principal System architect builds standard & best practices for UT standard product and scalable architecture, being a part of core UTSP team for GE customers and partners.3) You are expected to deliver blueprints and templates for nurturing and building System Platform for NDT use cases in various industries like Oil & Gas, Aviation, Power, etc. and develop a UTSP product platform.4) Being a part of the development team you need to understand & balance out technical requirement & business priority by contributing and providing great technical mentoring to diverse group of software and hardware engineers.5) You should ensure technical architecture utilizes GE's key strategic differentiation elements.6) Work closely with Product Managers to ensure product functional requirements are documented and agreed7) Identify core and non- core activities within the platform and build strong partners to take up the non-core activities.8) Analyzes, designs, and develops a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.9) Leads and coordinates the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction. Supports, develops, and communicates domain-wide policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.10) Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities, provides recommendations based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment.11) Identifies the tools and components used within the domain based on the enterprise toolset and can define exceptions as warranted. Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solution.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1) Bachelor's/Masters degree in engineering with excellent computer skills and proficiency in various design and architectural tools2) At least 15 years of experience with cross functional product design and development and at lease 5 years of experience with system architect role.3) Strong knowledge of product development process,4) knowledge and experience in dealing with various regulatory and complacence requirements including cyber security.5) Strong knowledge of Ultrasound domain and experience in developing UT products.
