The Sales Operations Director will manage a team of four sales ops team members while working cross-functionally with several groups at Facebook (including sales, finance, business operations, and business intelligence). The objective of this role is to establish the sales operations function for Marketing Science. This includes building a team that is effectively structured to provide support across the various parts of the Marketing Science Org and delivering against three core functions: 1) Core operations (e.g. planning, metrics, and rhythm of business 2) Strategic initiatives to improve efficiency 3) Organizational enablement through reporting and tools. Sample projects include sizing a new business opportunity, driving organizational design conversation, and establishing KPIs for the Marketing Science organization.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
Support sales teams on medium/long-term planning including business potential, resourcing and org design
Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for Global Sales teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
Operations and Analytics:
Project manage improvements to Sales team processes to drive higher efficiencies using a data-driven approach
Lead analysis on business performance to drive operational changes. Familiarity with basic statistical analysis and modeling required to help assess marketing science effectiveness
Drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading business analysis including revenue, customer and market analysis
Management:
Build and manage a high performing sales operations team
Partner with senior management on key business and operational activities
Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the function in cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS
16+ years of work experience in Management Strategy Consulting or Sales Planning & Operations, or 14+ years with MBA/Master's degree
Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets
Demonstrated ability to explain concepts to audiences
Excel skills
Prior people management experience
Experience influencing individuals at the C-Suite or Executive level and driving strategic business decisions
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field
Prior experience with online advertising
Experience working with or in support of many different business units
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment
Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
