The Director, International Tax is responsible for US international elements of the Company’s income tax provisions, income tax returns, cash tax forecasts, and M&A. The role requires subject matter expertise in Subpart F, foreign tax credits, foreign currency, and M&A. The international tax director will be based in San Jose, CA and will report to the Sr. Director, Tax Operations.
Direct preparation of US international tax forms, statements, and elections for 80 foreign subsidiaries.
Review quarterly estimates of Subpart F, E&P, and foreign tax pools in support of the tax provision and cash tax forecast.
Provide audit support for US international tax positions.
Train, mentor and develop 2 direct reports.
Monitor US international tax developments, and determine impact to the company.
Develop and maintain earnings and profits and foreign tax pools.
Support international expansion, M&A and other ad hoc projects with US international aspects.
REQUIRED:
Strong working knowledge of US international taxation including subpart F, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing, cross-border M&A and cash repatriation strategies.
Ability to apply tax expertise in a practical manner and act as credible business advisor. Ability to effectively translate tax issues to non-tax colleagues.
Experience with Excel, CorpTax and SAP
8-12 years’ experience in either public accounting or industry accounting
Masters in Taxation or CPA preferred
Bachelors in Accounting
