Levi Strauss & Co is seeking a Director, IT Site Reliability to lead multiple, cross-functional teams to ensure high quality releases on time. This role will be strategic partner of software development, quality engineering, performance and DevOps teams and create a roadmap for at-will deployment and zero downtime releases.
Manage all aspects of Quality Engineering, Releases, DevOps, Performance and Scalability
Manages service delivery and website/systems reliability and scalability including: reporting, configuration and build, testing, planning, and deployment of solutions and will be accountable for all aspects of deployment and technical operations including technical project resources (partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, risk management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners)
Provide direction to project team members and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
Foster and maintain good relationships with various IT stakeholders as well as business colleagues to ensure that business needs are understood and processes are integrated to support expected customer service levels.
Keep abreast of new technologies and industry strategies in order to identify opportunities to improve project efforts.
Responsible for the employment, promotion, performance evaluation, training, motivation, counseling, and discipline of assigned employees
SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
10+ experience supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of large scale integrated, on-line business systems
Cloud Operations & Lifecycle Management, Automation using advanced open source frameworks, advanced knowledge of computing technologies and operations that support business systems and the user community.
Excellent presentation skills both oral and written with strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
Able to take initiative in a fast paced work environment and able to interface with a variety of functions at all levels within the organization.
Excellent planning and organization, flexibility and interpersonal skills required.
Ability to obtain sponsorship and to prioritize multiple projects within the domain.
