Based in the Bay Area, CA, this leader will be responsible for defining the strategic vision and driving the post-purchase technology and experience strategy for Adobe’s cloud products. The successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of product strategy, roadmap, and integrations with third parties. S/he will manage a team of product managers and collaborate with R&D in innovating in all core areas related to enterprise user, license and resource management for all stages of customer deployment – from onboarding to ongoing operations to support to renewals.
What you’ll do
Articulate and evangelize a compelling vision of common post-purchase experiences for all of Adobe’s enterprise businesses, spanning from post-purchase onboarding, software deployment, ongoing operations and support through renewals. Look out for opportunities to enable Adobe’s business customers to easily deploy and utilize Adobe’s products and technologies.
Be the evangelist for customer IT audiences. Bring their needs to life within Adobe’s common Admin Console and other user surfaces.
Drive the adoption of technology through enablement of IT developers and integrators. Enable the developer audiences to utilize Adobe’s cloud admin APIs to integrate into their environment to ease the adoption. Work with engineering to advance the state of the art of these APIs. Bring the industry best practices in house.
Keep track of evolving industry trends in addressing the business needs for post-purchase experiences.
Manage a high performing team of product managers to collaborate with engineering and design teams to bring great products to market. Manage the process of prioritizing the market requirements against the internal resource demands to strike the best balance while always advocating the customers’ cause.
Be a leader and a catalyst of agility – be nimble in implementing ideas, be data driven in evaluating the results, and be unafraid to change the course when needed.
Be the thought leader in defining the performance and architectural characteristics of the system that reacts to the performance needs of the business and is able to scale very rapidly to meet the performance and scaling needs of tomorrow.
Recruit, motivate and empower employees, assign and direct their activities.
Evangelize the attitude of being extremely data and metrics driven, and exceptionally focused on creating amazing customer experiences.
Be instrumental in communicating Adobe’s strategy to large business customers and in dealing with customer escalations, briefings, customer advisory boards etc.
Work with the cross-BU engineering teams to deliver to this vision. Be very metrics driven to analyze the impact of the activities and refine as needed to create an environment of continuous learning across the organization.
What you need to succeed
Proven leadership skills and ability to influence effectively across a cross-functional team.
Exceptional communication and persuasion skills to influence the desired outcomes. Ability to partner with senior execs across the company to balance the requirements of diverse businesses at Adobe while maintaining a rapid pace of product development and delivery.
Prior experience in platform product management and architecture in a high growth environment.
Strong strategic thinking combined with results-driven, practical mind set. Ability to mix long term vision and strategy with short term tactical execution that is oriented towards delivering results continuously.
Solid understanding of cloud software delivery, deployment and management technologies and the industry landscape around us.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
Ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas.
