For the Oil & Gas industry, the Director, APM Strategy is responsible for combined strategy planning and execution in conjunction with the Product Management function within GE Oil and Gas (GEOG). This role will be the primary interface between APM Product Line and GEOG responsible for the GEOG Business Unit Interlock, Inbound and Outbound product management functions as well as product line support for the BU commercial strategy and execution.
This role will work closely with Technical Product & Outbound Product Management, Product Marketing, PMO and other teams within the APM Product line to manage & prioritize inbound product requirements, report critical product outbound messaging to the BU and accelerate top line revenue growth for APM to the GE Oil & Gas BU. In this capacity, the Director of APM Strategy will be responsible for collaborating with the GEOG BU on the development of the go-to-market strategy, marketing, pricing schemes and integration strategies for the APM product line. This role will also lead product enablement and engagement with GEOG APM product teams. This is a key leadership position with GE Digital APM to drive innovation, provide transparency in process and results, thought leadership, and value for our customers and shareholders in partnership with the O&G Digital team within GE Oil and Gas. You have experience working closely with business leaders, product managers, product marketing managers, and the field as well as the expertise to develop and expand GE’s APM solution offerings for GE Oil and Gas. You have experience with and a track record of success in identifying new markets and market opportunities, leading/participating in building out new market opportunities, and capture/realizing desired results. In this role, you will:
Maintain working knowledge of current and proposed APM solutions and solution roadmaps for GE Oil and Gas, the industry trends, regulatory rules and related emerging issues and compelling events
Develop and maintain the APM pricing models for the Oil and Gas industry in collaboration with the GE Oil and Gas Product Management teams and the GE Digital APM Product Management teams
Own key stakeholder relationships with GE Oil and Gas senior executives to drive alignment between GE Digital and GE Oil and Gas Digital’s APM solution strategy for the industry
Participate in industry advisory bodies and events that could help shape solutions for GE Oil and Gas
Work with the GE initiative leaders, and be current on the emerging regulations/ technology trends/ and customer spend in IT/OT in GE Oil and Gas.
Expand GE’s commercial relationships with strategic clients and work with sales and professional services, to drive recurring revenue and customer footprint expansion
Develop and maintain a rich understanding of the GE PREDIX platform, APM Applications and how they come together to form solutions for GE Oil and Gas; drive the solution strategy for Oil and Gas in the APM applications PM Team
Analyze requirements for new market entries and emerging markets
Manage, Prioritize and synthesize GE Oil and Gas inbound APM product requirements and work with Technical and Outbound Product Management to communicate key Product line release planning information back to O&D Digital.
Work with the GE Oil and Gas Digital APM product team to report and track top line revenue against the APM Operating plan
Coordinate quarterly APM Strategy sessions with GE Oil and Gas intended to share knowledge across all the GE Business Units.
Help identify product strengths and weakness relative to competitive offerings within specific market segments
Analyze product capabilities and work with the APM product line managers to help establish a product roadmap/market requirements to meet industry demands, supported by a solid business case that aligns with the GE business model
Communicate and advocate the respective product visions and roadmaps to the Oil and Gas PM and business teams, their clients, and prospects
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of relevant professional experience in the APM related role or in service product organizations that serve the Oil and Gas Industry.
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA, Houston, TX, or Roanoke, VA
Must be willing to travel (30% - 40%)
Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline; advanced degree/MBA a plus
MBA or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline preferred
5 or more years in SaaS/ Cloud computing or enterprise software business or product management, plus 5 years business experience covering activities including developing business plans, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, running a P&L, performing competitive analyses, managing and executing beta programs, field enablement, working w/ product marketing on market requirements and segmentation, product packaging, licensing, product collaterals, and customer presentations
Experience in one of more of the following: asset performance management, process optimization, performance management, operational intelligence, data security, real-time and predictive analytics
Experience in GE Oil & Gas industrial domain
Understanding of the existing Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, ecosystem and enterprise software market opportunities is a strong plus
Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with customers, prospects, sales, engineering, and the management team
Strong technical background with the ability to quickly develop deep product knowledge and communicate the business values to the field and customers
Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple parties in order to deliver a product/ business solution
Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently; detail oriented
Ability to contribute to defining a strategic vision and to articulate it in front of a variety of audiences
Self-motivated and team-oriented, able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
Work with APM Product Line Leaders to communicate business requirements, technology outcomes, business cases and related information to building a world class product for GE Oil and Gas.
Provide P&L leadership for the assigned products and solution areas.
Work closely with APM Product Marketing to develop a market message to articulate the solution vision, and support sales force enablement to deliver that message; Provide direct sales support for high priority customers and emerging solution offerings
Provide direct sales support of key deals through specific dialog with customer operations leaders and decision makers
