For a very demanding customer, this high-impact & high visible role requires strong slim modem development knowledge along with software and semiconductor hardware engineering background. Role is required to ensure the success of complex projects across customer portfolio, including but not limited to customer requirement management, converting them to product and release planning, identification of milestones and tracking of all items to ensure successful project delivery. The role requires to lead multi-geo group of modem Software. Close collaboration is required with R&D Engineering Groups, platform Project Engineers, Solution Architects, Engineering manager & team, commercial/sales organizations, customers and partners. This role is customer facing hence requires personal presence at customer premises more than 75% of working time.

The ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate: -A demonstrated technical foundation that enables effective interaction with the technical stakeholders responsible for customer requirements definition, technology development, validation, regulatory compliance, and productization.-Proven background in Modem Software architecture, design and development-Ability to build and manage effective customer relationships, influencing customer product direction, and influencing Intel's plans to better meet customers' needs-Ability to influence others, and to take on new tasks which require learning new technologies and strategies -Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including engagements with customers and the ability to create concise summaries of plans, status, and risk/issue mitigation plans.-As part of this process, he or she will be required to assess risks and identify solutions to efficient achievement of program goals, ensures that quality standards and budget constraints are met, and track appropriate progress against schedule and take remedial action as appropriate.-Must possess professional management skills, with proven people management skills leadership, planning, influencing, negotiating, problem-solving, and load balancing.-Experience working on projects which require 3rd party vendors and outsourcing projects as needed -Exposure and understanding of Agile Project Management.

Qualifications

Desired Qualification and Experience -MS or higher degree in electrical/ electronic engineering, and/or telecommunication engineering. In addition MBA is preferred.-Minimum 12+ years of engineering experience-Knowledge of principles and methods for SW development. This includes planning skills, horizontal teams progress tracking, risk mgmt., etc.-Experience with modem build, Integration and verification processes-5+ years in senior engineering management role -5+ years in external customer focused role -Ability to measure the health of the project/s by using appropriate metrics and must be proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint-Candidate must have excellent organizational capabilities -Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills -Candidate must be a strong team player -Experience in working in a product based company is preferred. In depth understanding of the Software Product Development Life Cycle -Must have the passion to work with demanding stakeholder distributed globally. -Exposure and understanding of Agile Project Management.
