Director Account Management Digital Partnerships Mastercard San Carlos

The Account Management/Business Development teams in North America Digital Partnerships seek to advance commerce and strengthen relationships with key digital merchants, commerce enablers, and technology partners while driving growth in MasterCard revenue derived from these customer segments.
• This person will be in a customer facing position and will be instrumental in helping identify new opportunities and be responsible for managing and driving vertically focused customer relationships.
Influences Customer account strategies using analytical problem solving and leveraging data tools to provide market data and customer specific recommendations.
• Provides insight in the analysis of customer’s business through profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis.
• A key focus on this position will be to work closely across the team and cross-functionally across MasterCard to aid in the delivery of customized payment solutions that include remote and proximity payments, marketing and consulting support, while leveraging MasterCard’s strong brand, technology, network and Advisors’ assets to deliver bottom line results to customers.


Role

• Deliver against volume and revenue growth targets with new and existing merchant customers.
• Partner with merchant customers to develop new business opportunities leveraging Advisors services and other MasterCard products or service enhancements.
• Aid MasterCard in the ideation, development and merchant-specific value propositions that deliver products and services that address customer needs.
• Participate where appropriate in negotiating, execution and management of customer contract agreements and processes throughout the complete lifecycle.
• Collaborate with appropriate MasterCard business partners in Global Products & Solutions, MasterCard Technologies, Law & Franchise Integrity, Risk Management, etc. to ensure cross-functional alignment and maximum support.
• Analyze customers’ businesses through published quarterly and annual reports, industry publications, profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis.


All About You
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong interest in mobile, electronic commerce and alternative payments knowledge.
• Passionate about the card and payments industry, with particular emphasis on merchant and eCommerce industry trends, regulatory changes and card product evolution.
• Ability to network and build strong relationships a must.
• Interest in sales/ partnership management with the ability to think from the perspective of the merchant customer.
