Senior Director Push Payment Product CEMEA Visa Dubai

Our mission is to launch new, market-leading offerings that create tremendous value for payments aggregators (e.g. Financial Institutions, Merchants, Processors, and Emerging Payments Providers) and delight end consumer users as well as meet clear areas of demand for payment and related services.
As part of Visa Digital, Visa Direct is our real-time push payments platform which delivers multiple use cases and solutions – B2C, P2P and merchant payments. This service is available to clients and partners to facilitate fund transfers and disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology. mVisa is the acceptance mark for mobile push payments to merchants, which enables clients and partners to deploy digital payments without plastic cards and with low cost, efficient acquiring solution. Together these use cases are positioned to serve both developed and emerging
markets covering more than $50 trillion in payments volume globally.

To realize this opportunity in our CEMEA region, we are looking for a product leader who is passionate about innovating and delivering truly differentiated user experiences. Successful execution of this role will be achieved through a combination of leadership, communication, collaboration, payments knowledge and applied strategy to deliver Visa’s rapidly expanding push payments offerings.

Successful candidates will have the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

(1) Responsible for push payment product design, expansion plans and solution commercialization in CEMEA markets.

(2) Combine existing payments knowledge, market feedback, inputs from consumer research, conversations with potential partners, discussions with relevant SMEs and knowledge of market environment to:

Define and prioritize push-payment product strategy in CEMEA markets.
Deploy solutions for penetrating merchant payments, P2P and B2C use cases.
Open up markets with large or currently unrealized push payment opportunity.
(3) Ensure effective solution commercialization and coordinate path for innovation rollout.

Create and front end new solutions. Ideas to accelerate deployments. Global app design trends. Define new transaction experiences/use cases/VAS.
Provide input to the Platform team for features to include and prioritize in the development roadmap.
Ensure that deployed solution and Platform features meet market need and performance metrics set for it.
Manage the balance between platform features, risk, social/ local elements and profitability – while commercializing these new solutions.
(4) Build accelerator partnerships, enable “Force Multipliers” and manage key client deployments.

“Solutioning” and tie-up with strategic force multipliers, enablers, non-traditional partners to expedite rollout of push payments.
Enable partnerships with processors and payment aggregators.
Drive third party partnerships to enable large pools on both issuing and acquiring.
(5) Define go-to-market plans for push-payments with specific focus on target markets and solutions, in strong partnership and coordination with cross-functional teams.

(6) Support commercialization and GTM projects. Lead product interrelated tasks and work streams in the project and manage associated deadlines.

(7) Play the role of push payment Centre of Excellence (COE) for CEMEA region

Provide subject matter expertise and solution definition and its linkage to local market strategy.
Articulate solution’s value proposition for internal and external stakeholders and clients.
Expand knowledge base on new push payment solutions and customize them for local markets.
Develop best practices and learnings from CEMEA markets and leverage those from other regions.
Qualifications
Professional

10+ years’ work experience – prior experience in taking new products from the idea stage to commercial launch is preferred.
Business degree and Technical education and background is advantageous.
Project Management experience is strongly preferred.
High value on direct exposure to digital payment solutions (mobile banking, payment cards).
Experience of working on digital solutions in the FI or Technology space
Fluency in English is required
Technical

Understanding of Payments, Visa systems, Banking and Financial services, its platforms and commercial models
Knowledge of payment and mobile technology and its impact on emerging business models
Knowledge of Consumer behavior and retail structures in Emerging markets
Business

Proven leadership ability.
Willingness and ability to work in unstructured and informal settings with sophisticated clients and/or partners
Comfort leading and working closely with cross-functional teams required
Excellent inter-personal/ client management skills
Proven negotiation skills
Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and different.
Solid communication skills – both written and spoken
Driven, self-starter and team player.
