As a retail planning director you will lead, coach, drive & inspire the planning team to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Develop, execute, and deliver the strategic direction for goals aligned with overall brand & DTC direction. Are responsible for the planned sales, gross margin, inventory, and markdowns across Nike stores & digital.
Scope and Responsibilities

Will provide leadership and strategic direction for planning across stores & nike.com on business initiative associated with financial plans. Will influence the budgeting, business planning & forecasting processes, sharing product insights with GM’s and other retail & corporate partners. Will support key seasonal brand & product stories at retail through aligned planning. Will serve as a retail advocate across all categories - sharing plans with Nike Europe/Global product, merchandising and sales teams. Will be accountable to monitor business performance and deliver results versus targeted objectives to drive sales, gross margin and turnover by dimension, store, category, and product type . Will also be accountable to communicate results of any variances to targeted expectations across key stakeholders. Will drive functional expertise for the team to optimize the alignment within DTC & across key stakeholders. Will promote process excellence across the Planning team and foster collaborative relationships with cross functional partners to deliver the DTC planning strategy ensuring the right product at the right place and right time. Will determine and take corrective actions against business risk. Will lead a team and needs to ensure talent needs are met, setting the team direction, and reviewing the performance of direct reports. Will define team performance success criteria, including establishing key performance indicators and targets.



Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master degree
• At least 8 years’ progressive experience in retail planning
• Management experience, preferably in a retail operations or retail buying environment. Proven capacity to develop people.
• Expert in retail math’s, financial planning and assortment planning skills with knowledge of automated planning systems including OTB, assortment (line) planning, distribution and reporting.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Systems experience with planning tools, PCs, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good analytical skills, detail-oriented and well organized. Accurate.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
