This position is focused primarily on the Silicon Photonics business which is state of the art optical capability using Semi-Conductor latest technology. This position manages the end to end supply chain of our Silicon Photonics business.
The Director of Silicon Photonics Operations is responsible for the management of production of Juniper’s Silicon Photonics product line. This is a unique role inside of the Juniper Supply Chain Operations team that will work with our EMS and wafer foundry partners. It includes direct management of the functions of planning, supply based engineering, product engineering, test engineering and overall program management.
Responsibilities
Ensure smooth transition from pre-production to volume production for emerging Silicon Photonics products.
Lead teams in ensuring high quality of product, quick resolution of issues, including root cause corrective actions.
Ability to understand and influence the impact of operations on product COGS
Responsible for providing Quarterly Business Review (QBR) updates to peers and executive operations team.
Ensure proper level of engagement, commercially and technically is being applied to each point in the supply chain.
Establish a quarterly review with suppliers with measurable metrics and goals.
Participate in new product introduction programs of new products and platforms
Minimum Qualifications:
BSEE or equivalent
15+ years industry experience in semiconductor, networking or telecommunications manufacturing management
Must have multiple years’ experience with wafer fabrication or foundry operations and back-end processes
Understanding of multi-chip module packaging and test through OSAT partners or directly
Solid track record of managing complex supply chains, including international suppliers
Pluggable optical module manufacturing experience is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven leadership in managing end to end supply chains in the semiconductor industry from materials, foundry, packing processes including multi-chip modules.
