Orchard Art Director Designer Apple Cupertino

The Orchard is an innovative, creative program in the Marketing Communications (Marcom) group at Apple. Its mission is to bring together a talented and diverse group of up-and-coming creatives to learn and grow with professionals at Apple. Participants will collaborate with Apple creatives, producers, and planners in the communication of Apple products and the Apple brand. The Orchard is dedicated to mutual learning and the growth of the next generation of Apple thinkers and creators.

The program will offer a set curriculum, mentoring, and applied Apple projects. It will include enrichment opportunities and sessions with leaders of Apple departments outside Marcom. The inaugural program will last six months.

Description

An Art Director in the Orchard program, will be responsible for conceptualization of creative solutions that follow the marketing strategy and creative direction given by the appropriate Sr. leader pertaining to given assignments. Work will be reviewed continually and under supervision, edits will be expected to be made in a timely manner.
The Art Director (Designer) will be expected to:
Demonstrate great attention to detail and the highest quality of work, while meeting all given deadlines in partnership with another Orchard writer .
Collaborate with the larger Marcom team on the assigned projects, within a wide variety of mediums to include: interactive, film, design, retail etc . . .
Design and layout high quality visuals that meet project requirements and support the overall concept.
Assist Sr. Art Directors and Creative Directors by designing supporting material for major product launches and other initiatives both external and internal. We’ll even ask you for ideas on the really big stuff.
Work with business teams, project managers, and Creative Directors to refine (and refine and refine and refine) design elements as necessary.
As a part of the production process, the art director (designer) may participate or shadow during photo shoots, film shoots, edits, audio recordings, music production or press checks.
The Orchard will be a cohort of creatives that will all start at the same time and this group will also be required to come together as a team to work on assigned creative projects under the direction and supervision of an Executive Creative Director and a team of senior creative professionals within Marcom.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Design, or Marketing preferred
