The Benefits Child Care team is a pioneer in the world of childhood development. In the unique educational environment of Google's children's centers, you'll work with both your team and Google parents to continually develop and improve our Employee Child Development program to meet the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of children ages 3 months through 5 years. You're passionate about each child's personal growth and open to new and innovative methods of teaching, and are familiar with family-focused education that integrates play-based philosophies into the curriculum.
You motivate and support the teaching staff, directing the development and implementation of early childhood education programs. You also oversee financial, staffing and compliance tasks at the children's centers.

We've developed our Employee Child Development program by building high-quality children's centers located near our corporate headquarters. These family-focused centers integrate play-based philosophies into the curriculum. This program includes small group size and staff continuity, and is designed to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs of children ages 3 months through 5 years.

Responsibilities
Work closely with the Centers’ Director to develop and implement the educational program, including care and education practices, curriculum development, schedules, staffing and training plans, and other policies and procedures.
Provide support for parents to ensure that their questions about the curriculum, parenting issues and the program will be well-answered. Plan and coordinate events for families along with educators and parents. Show compassion.
Be involved in staffing and managing the center, as well as other management responsibilities.
Work closely with the Centers’ Director, Operations Manager/Specialist, Curriculum Specialists and Management Teams from other Google operated centers to create child development and family programs of the highest caliber.
Communicate about and require educators to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation or GED and 15 semester units at an accredited college in specified early childhood education classes. Three of the required units shall be in administration or staff relations and 12 units shall include courses that cover the area of child growth and development; child, family and community; and program/ curriculum and four years of teaching experience in a licensed center or comparable group child care program or
Two years of experience are required if the director has an AA degree with a major in child development or
A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Child Development Program Director permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Preferred qualifications:
Master's in ECE, Child Development or related field.
Supervision experience of educators.
Knowledge of constructivist, play-based Early Childhood Education theory.
