Hands-on Director of IT Analytics will provide technical leadership to Business Intelligence teams and be responsible for leading new initiatives and ensuring optimal support and operational activities related to all BI/Analytics systems and platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and establish a data integration and business intelligence vision and roadmap and drive its implementation
Evaluate, recommend and implement BI, Data science and Big Data tools and technologies e.g. Snowflake, AWS Kinesis Redshift, R, Python
Integrate data from various sources such as (but not limited to) SAP ECC, SAP CRM, Oracle databases, Sales Force, and outside 3rd party data sources
Partner with business stakeholders to design and implement solutions that allow them to work more efficiently and minimize room for error
Provide leadership to BI/Analytics related operations and support activities; ensure SLAs; lead RCA, Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Organize work and manage resources to tackle multiple business priorities across the company
Ability to lead and empower others to develop a high functioning team
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/PERSONA
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent degree/experience
Deep experience managing data warehousing, data Integration, and business intelligence is required
Expert-level knowledge of SQL (preferably Oracle)
Expert-level knowledge of ETL Tools (e.g. Informatica, SAP Data Services)
ERP experience highly desired (preferably SAP ECC)
Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus
Familiarity with Agile development methodology is desirable
Experience in a high-tech, networking, manufacturing or other data intensive industry
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a complex environment with competing priorities
Proven leader who combines technical expertise with well-developed business acumen
Strong analytic and problem solving skills leading to effective decision making
Ability to lead, inspire, guide and develop distributed teams
