Director Organizational & Talent Development SEPHORA San Francisco

The Director of Organizational and Talent Development will lead a team of three exceptional leaders and experts in Talent Management. He/she will focus on creating and executing key talent initiatives including: workforce planning, succession planning, engagement, and career pathing for all client groups including retail, corporate and distribution centers. This work will also include assessing and diagnosing organizational needs, leading change initiatives, as well as building out a newly created change and organizational design capability. All of this will be done in an effort to deliver best-in-class organizational development solutions that support Sephora’s strategic plan and values.
What you’ll be doing:



Lead and inspire a high functioning and performing Talent Development team
Work with senior management and HR partners to determine organizational and talent development strategy; setting key talent priorities.
Partner with business leaders, Sephora Global, LVMH and HR Business Partners to assess needs and manage implementation of programs to accomplish specific business objectives including: talent development, succession planning, assessment tool selection, performance management, career pathing, and employee engagement.
Develop capabilities around change and organizational design to provide support to critical change and transformation initiatives across the company
Redesign, customize, and enhance existing programs to build managerial and employee skills and competencies.
Design, create, and facilitate development and performance improvement strategies that result in positive behavior change for managers and employees.
Create and builds awareness around career pathing and mobility within Sephora and within the LVMH family of over 70 brands
Oversee the developmental needs for select employee groups (i.e hi-po talent) and create meaningful programming solutions and action plans.
Create methodologies that aid in the selection and development of future leaders
Approximately 15% travel is required
Develop, relationships with key external partners such as third party training and facilitation companies and external executive coaches
Plan and manage the department annual budget and conduct periodic cost and productivity analyses
Align allocated resources and staff to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness


You’re the ideal candidate if you possess:

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources or other related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in organizational and talent development implementing employee development or talent management programs.
Experience in leading change management and organizational design initiatives in high-growth organizations.
Demonstrated track record of success in effectively counseling business leaders on talent development topics.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
