Twitch is seeking a Director of Financial Systems to join our growing finance team! You will be responsible for planning, prioritization, design, and rollout of changes to all finance-related systems, including: billing, accounting, procurement, expense management, revenue recognition, and payroll. You should have extensive experience with financial software and processes, and should have the skills and passion for designing solutions that combine third-party and custom software to support financial operations. You will play a pivotal role in scaling and automating the accounting and finance processes to support the growth of Twitch. We are seeking someone who possesses great attention to detail, has strong understanding of accounting and finance processes and a high aptitude for working with cross functional teams to drive accurate and efficient results.
Interview stakeholders of all levels throughout finance (accounting, billing, FP&A, audit, etc.) to understand their needs, pain points, and requests for changes in finance systems
Maintain a prioritized backlog of finance system projects/changes, drive prioritization at meetings, and communicate backlogs and schedules to stakeholders
Recommend and help design changes to our finance business systems, including: configuration changes, changes to integrations between systems, and software changes to in-house systems
Communicate designs changes both verbally and through diagrams, with thorough and clear specifications
Perform user acceptance testing on new and changed functionality, tracking enhancements and issues to improve accounting and finance processes
Coordinate with NetSuite Architect to rollout changes to systems, including launch sequencing, training, email notifications, internal resources, and enabling the functionality
Triage escalated issue reports from users, responding with workarounds and/or specifying fixes to be carried out by engineering team
Build and maintain internal resources for users of systems, including overview documentation, training documents and videos (if needed), and knowledge bases of common issues
Evaluate proposed new systems for implementation, drive the process of deciding whether to buy a system at all, selecting vendors, and implementing the new system
Create business cases to get approvals to fund various accounting and finance projects
Maintain a working understanding of all of business systems, including both third-party and in-house systems, and how they interact with Twitch’s financial systems
Maintain a working understanding of the business processes including quote-to-cash, billing and collections, payroll and financial reporting
Requirements
Strong grasp of concepts and processes in accounting and finance (billing, payments and A/R, general ledger, revenue recognition, planning and budgeting, financial reporting, audit)
Strong grasp of B2B SaaS software and how it’s configured and deployed to support business processes, including some hands-on skill in working with and configuring financial products like NetSuite, Expensify, ADP, etc.
Strong project management skills
Flexible, fast learner who thrives in a constantly-changing work environment
Ability to work productively in teams with people from many disciplines, including: sales, operations, finance, legal, engineering, and IT
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Sound judgement for driving prioritization on decisions based on business impact
At least 10 years of work experience, including substantial experience working with corporate financial processes
Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience
