Finance Senior Director Microsoft Redmond

Services Finance is seeking a Senior Director to join the Leadership Team. Senior Director will play critical role in driving business acceleration as Microsoft Services continues transformation and evolution across business processes and customer offerings. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver results through a high performing team, drive impact across boundaries, and provide business analysis and insight with high executive visibility.
This role requires an experienced finance professional to partner with key stakeholders: business executives, and leaders across Field and Corp to land strategic initiatives across Services, Global Sales & Commercial (GSC) and Finance. The position will report directly to the CFO of WW Services Finance, and be a key part of the Services Finance Leadership team, making critical decisions around people, business processes to drive business impact.

Services Finance team is involved with one of Microsoft’s most important customer facing organizations. The experiences span from digital transformation envision dialogs with customers, to delivery of services, customer support and engagement, customer lifecycle involvement driving to customer success. The team partners heavily with corporate leadership groups and with various field communities on a worldwide basis.

Core Responsibilities of this job include:

People/Team leadership:
Lead the Services Finance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
•Streamline and drive ROB, planning, reporting, analysis, spanning Services business groups.

Manage the Financial rhythm of the business:
•Provide clear financial management processes in support of the business.
•Ensure integrity, accuracy, understand the data and drive insight.
•Support Services Finance Revenue, COGS, and OPEX teams, including role as center of excellence on tools, hierarchies, and processes.

Support key stakeholders and business partners:
•Partner with stakeholders and leaders across Services LT, Field, Corp Business and Corp Finance.
•Provide excellent business partnership by enabling insight, providing smooth processes, and problem solving.
•Exec review: responsible for a variety of deliverables – ie. SLT, CFO close, QBA, etc.

Accounting and Compliance:
•Partner with Services Control and Compliance lead to ensure financial information is compliant with GAAP and MSFT policies.
•Support SOX and SSAE processes.

Qualifications required
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, or another related field.
•Minimum 10 years of experience in the relevant field of finance, accounting, controllership, reporting, or business analysis.
•Strong people management, process, cross-group collaboration, and executive presence.
•Strategic and critical thinking.
•Strong controllership skills.
•Great team player who has the agility to balance multiple workloads across the breadth of Services business.
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Ability to gather people around idea coupled with the leadership ability to influence others.
•Strong cross group collaboration skills.
•Ability to work both in the detail and at the executive level and partner with individuals at all levels of the organization.
•Proven ability to drive and complete projects independently, with quality and speed.
