At Shazam, we find it easy to get excited about our product and what we are able to offer brands from an advertising perspective. We are looking for an astute Sales leader, who will lead, hone and develop advertising sales with our Media partners with just as much energy and enthusiasm as we have.
You should be an experienced Advertising Sales leader who lives to deliver maximum sales and profit growth, with a demonstrated track record in driving strong, deep, mutually beneficial business interactions. You should also be truly hands on, reinforcing the can-do, goal-oriented, collaborative environment that we work so hard to create.
Reporting directly into our VP Sales West who is also based in LA, this role is an individual contributor that will work with the territories largest brands with an emphasis on entertainment and accounts.
What Will You Do?
Bring a wealth of great relationships to Shazam, with creative ideas about the brands we are working with currently, and any areas we can expand in.
You will have a natural knowledge of the brands who have music in their DNA in your region and where Shazam’s growth opportunities lie.
You will work in partnership with the wider Sales business, to make sure that we manage all Sales partnerships in the right way.
Develop, service and manage new and existing relationships with current and potential partner organizations. Build a pipeline of new business opportunities that will enhance the competitive positioning of Shazam in the US.
Work very closely and collaboratively with key partners in the business to ensure all events, branding and marketing opportunities are maximized to their full potential.
Leverage your network/experience while working with multiple departments and customers to develop new ideas, flush out existing practices, and suggest and prioritize product features that meet market demands and customer needs.
Develop, evaluate, and prioritize new ways to grow the business through intelligent partnerships that maximize impact for both Shazam and the partner organization,
Maintain an intimate knowledge of trends in the digital media industry. Serve as the Company’s “ear to the ground” relating to changes in the market. Maintaining and developing a full knowledge of our competitive landscape.
Be a high performing team member that consistently exceeds the expectations of employees, customers, and shareholders. Meet and quickly exceed sales targets.
Become an expert user of our product so you can gain a deep understanding of its value proposition and target audience. Gaining this expertise requires being tech-savvy.
Experience: Required
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Extensive contacts and relationships with agencies and clients
Deep understanding of the advertising marketplace with a focus on mobile and digital platforms
Knowledge of interactive advertising with regard to positioning, technology and metrics
Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline, and a proven track record of exceeding goals
Must be creative, smart, and passionate, as well as a problem solver and a team player
