The Video Collaboration business team is looking for a top-class quality-focused leader, motivated to build and ship the next generation of B2C and B2B video collaboration devices. The ideal candidate is a highly-creative engineer who has chosen to focus on quality and the product development lifecycle, has a track record of shipping best-in-class products, and enjoys growing and leading a team of like-minded testers and test engineers responsible for both product and factory quality. The successful candidate will be an outstanding manager of fellow testers and test engineers, capable of managing multiple complex product development and support efforts with a "hands on" style that affords a high degree of personal interaction with the process; as well as ideally having a strong vision of quality best practices. This leader must also have an entrepreneurial approach and urgency to match their engineering aptitude.

Build, develop, lead and drive a team of testers and test engineers responsible for product quality, hardware and software certification, and factory test development.
Collaborate with product management, the factory, and other technical leaders to ensure that there’s a strong focus on Design for Test, taking into account related software, manufacturing, and support costs, as well as time-to-market considerations.
Beyond assuring quality in current product development efforts, collect, feedback, and lead efforts to identify the shortcomings in existing products and craft solutions ahead of the next products’ iteration.
Direct and technically support projects within in-house, ODM and CDM manufacturing models.
As the quality leader on multiple projects, coach and mentor team members to effectively develop their technical skillsets.
Manage the setting and measurement of goals and objectives for the department, including direct reports.
Demonstrate effective leadership skills in inspiring, driving and executing results through others; autonomy to develop and/or upgrade talent as needed to ensure success.
Assess critical skills and staffing levels, and the overall organizational structure, necessary to meet the department's business objectives.
Contribute to technical product specifications and project plans, ensuring that test requirements for product quality, certification, and factory testing are built into the product, enabling easier and deeper quality verification.
Communicate clearly and frequently with the direct teams as well as with the broader cross-functional project organizations and senior management, to ensure that the quality plan is successfully executed and that business segment objectives are met.
Drive and participate in discussions with technical partners, both to push them in areas that benefit Logitech, and also communicate to internal team quality goals and metrics that impact product designs.
Develop and foster relationships with the Quality teams in other parts of Logitech, and establish "best practices" for the team.
Continually strive to create and improve product development processes and procedures for areas of responsibility.
The Person

Ability to understand and explain quality tradeoffs, make recommendations, commit to and evangelize the quality goals, to help drive the product development and factory test processes.
Driven to grow, manage, and mentor a small team of Testers and Test Engineers, leading by example as well as helping team members grow into quality leaders.
Knowledgeable about the software, hardware and manufacturing implications of a set of quality goals, capable of architecting and making recommendations that might impact the project and product requirements being developed; demonstrable ability to identify blind alleys and work with the team to come up with creative and timely solutions.
Thoroughly enjoy building quality into and assuring the quality of product solutions, helping de-risk the architectural decisions made, so that products can be successfully and quickly tested during development, as well as on the factory floor.
Ability to understand and negotiate product quality requirements with System Engineers, Project and Product Management, translating them to tests, test frameworks, and APIs that help drive both the product development process and well as line tests in the factory.
As comfortable guiding strategic decisions and interacting with executives and major partners, as you are experienced with the day-to-day tactical challenges of a project, working cross-functionally with functional teams and project managers.
Must be detail oriented, self-directed, with demonstrable leadership and organizational skills.
Deep expertise in at least one engineering test discipline with a versatile knowledge of others (Software, EE, mechanics, optics, acoustics, firmware, signal processing); experience in deploying and driving a more Agile-based product development process using JIRA a plus.
